Hi, Everyone! Live from beautiful- if extremely hot- Phoenix. I’m at the American Association of Naturopathic Physician’s annual conference. As always, I appreciate being with my ND tribe – I share some serious epigenetic marks with these folks. I appreciate the profound brain power of NDs, and of course the strong commitment to changing the health care paradigm.
Below, you’ll see videos from Dr. Gary Weiner, ND. It so happens that I literally just met Gary (like, 20 minutes ago we were chatting it up about stool, breath and organic acid testing for SIBO). But before that, I watched him deliver a terrific lecture on the science & history behind the elemental diet (ED), and as important, his extensive clinical experience of said diet.
Thus, I am sure you’ll find his content on the ED below to be interesting and informative.
Regarding our testing discussion – Gary is all about the breath test for SIBO. He finds it useful for baseline and follow-up. He finds that it correlates with clinical presentation well. He uses stool testing, but not for SIBO. He’s not using organic acids. While I find utility with organic acids (not for SIBO, generally), I agree with him otherwise, DrKF
