Trained Immunity: The Paradigm Shift That Is Reshaping Clinical Practice
In this webinar, we’ll explore the biology of trained immunity, including how the innate immune system can undergo functional reprogramming after certain exposures. We’ll discuss research surrounding beta-1,3/1,6-glucan and examine why this natural compound supports coordinated immune function rather than simply “boosting” immune activity or promoting chronic inflammation.
You’ll leave with a broader framework for recognizing immune involvement across diverse clinical presentations, practical insights into translating trained immunity research into patient care, and an exclusive first look at the Immune & Inflammatory Involvement Index – a new clinical assessment tool currently entering beta testing.
Key Takeaways:
- Describe how trained immunity has expanded our understanding of innate immune function and memory.
- Discuss how trained immunity offers a framework for understanding immune readiness, resilience, regulation, and recovery.
- Review evidence supporting beta-1,3/1,6-glucan as a natural compound shown to induce trained immunity.
- Apply an expanded framework for recognizing immune and inflammatory involvement in clinical practice.
