Janine Henkel, MS, CNS, CN is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and holds a Master’s Degree in Functional Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She believes that a significantly positive change in health requires more than just a cookie cutter approach. But that our access to limitless information has resulted in a trend of confusion and frustration which can wear down even the most dedicated soul. By embarking on a journey of precise, personalized support patients can leverage a fundamental process to eliminate the noise and focus their finite energy on only what matters to them.
With today’s busy lifestyle, basic principles of a healthy diet can get easily lost to other priority tasks. Janine actively listens to a patient’s unique struggles so she can firmly guide them through the process. She ensures that meals are based on simple, practical and delicious recipes, which motivates even the busiest professional, parent or those who say, “I can’t cook!”

One of her goals is to bring Functional Medicine and Nutrition to the front line of First Responders. As a veteran and retired Police Officer herself, she understands the unique needs of our Police, Firefighters and Military who have been grossly underserved.
When she’s not geeking out on the latest research in health and nutrition, you can find Janine chasing around her young son, trying to sneak a workout in or volunteering at her local animal shelter.
