karatall Welcome to my new site! While I am making my material more user-friendly for a wider audience, it’s this page that is near-and-dear to my heart. I’ve spent all of my career “working behind the scenes,” that is, being in a lab, writing, lecturing and generally chewing the fat with other medical and biological science professionals. I am deeply inspired and transformed by these journeys I take with you, and I want to continue the dialogue. I very much hope you’ll join in on this important conversation.

My professional mission statement is to help transform the global disease-centered medical model towards one that is focused on a systems, or functional approach to prevention and optimal health. I also believe that as we shift the paradigm in the medical world, one patient at a time, we cannot but help support a favorable ecological shift as well.
