Physical activity is important for immune health. How are you exercising safely during this pandemic?

Sedentary behaviors can worsen chronic health conditions that increase the risk for worse COVID outcomes.

Reduced exercise and home confinement also increases feelings of anxiety and depression for some, and reduces immune resilience. What to do?

Find your favorite lockdown-compatible exercise!

Aim for at least 30 minutes per day, and include a more vigorous option (get physician clearance for this if you have a chronic health condition).

Some of our favorite home exercise options are:

-Walking the house (try to do this every 1-2 hours to improve circulation and reduce inflammation)

-Leg lunges and squats

-Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga If you can get out in nature, we love:

-Bike riding

-Hiking

-Roller blading

Remember that some exercise is better than none, and more is better than less. What are your favorite ways to exercise right now?
