Golden Turmeric Milk

Golden Turmeric Milk

Golden Turmeric Milk or Haldi Doodh is a powerful Ayurvedic Indian drink with medicinal properties. It is an excellent way to include this ‘King of Spices’ in your diet.

Turmeric has many fabulous effects on our biochemistry and our health. One that we are especially excited about is its ability to modulate our genetic expression by changing levels of DNA methylation. In fact, that’s one of the ways it exerts its powerful effects.

Methylation, including DNA methylation is a foundational biochemical process. But when we have too much methylation, or methylation happening in the wrong place, it can lead to disease. Turmeric’s constituent, curcumin, can reverse excess or erroneous methylation marks on our DNA, like the ‘clean-up crew’ for life’s inevitable biochemical messes. This activity is how curcumin can counteract inflammation-based diseases, neurological disorders, and even cancer.
