MCT oil OR Brain Octane Oil OR extra virgin coconut oil; 1 tbsp. collagen powder; 1 tbsp. flaxseed; 2 tsp. maca root powder; 1 pinch cinnamon ((Optional)); 3-5 drops stevia liquid ((Optional))

Maca root is an amazing superfood and adaptogenic herb, originating from Peru where it has a long history of medicinal and culinary use. One thing you might not know about Maca is that it is a member of the cruciferous vegetable family, and is therefore related to broccoli, cauliflower, and kale.

Maca is most well-known, and well-used, for its ability to balance both women’s and men’s hormone levels, maintain energy and mood and support a healthy libido and reproductive function. Its ability to keep your energy sustained throughout the day makes this smoothie an excellent substitute for coffee, for those who are looking to cut back.
